Splendour

by Abi Morgan

Four women are trapped together in a dictator's palace during a civil war in an unnamed eastern European country, united only by the the missing tyrant himself.

They talk Toy Story 2, Prada handbags, chilli vodka... anything. For outside, as snow is falling, civil war looms ever nearer.

Splendour is play about decadence, desire and dictatorship.
